I have tried automating tests on the “UI catalog” app by Apple but I could get it working right:
Recorded on the real device using Phonemonkey. Playback resulted in filling the wrong fields. This is because Phonemonkey records using either the accessibilityLabels, or the prefilled text in the UI fields.
This is extremely error prone and even we I ask a developer to build a simple app specially to work with Phonemonkey we didn’t manage to get it working right.
Conclusion The app is very promising but I didn’t get any successful results.
