How the mobile service providers know whether the mobile is switched off or out of coverage?

Questions: How the mobile service providers know whether the mobile is switched off or out of coverage?

Answer: When the mobile is voluntarily switched OFF by the user, the mobile sends the Registration message with ‘Inactive’ state, which is update in the MSC/VLR & subsequently HLR… in other words, the network is updated with the device’s inactive status (that’s why it takes a few seconds for your mobile to turn off when you press the standby key)… and the “switched off” message is generated/played by the network to the caller.

When mobile is out of network coverage and/or battery is removed, the mobile doesn’t send (or does not initiate or have time) the registration message… in this case, the HLR & MSC/VLR (network) still has the mobile as “Active” in their register and when the incoming call is routed and the mobile is not reached by the network, the “unreachable” or “out of coverage” message is generated/played by the network.

How can you use Tvider?

  • Choose what you want to tweet – Picture, Video, Audio or a Media File saved on your mobile.
  • Enter your status message to go along the media file in twitter and choose ‘Update’
  • Check out your timeline to see you and your friends media tweets. Reply your friends with media tweets or re-tweet them.

The application is also having a web client (tvider.com) from where you can better manage your multimedia tweet.

By this application you can Share your pictures, videos and audio on Twitter.The application has enhanced User interface which appeals the user up to great extent.

On usability point of view the, application is looking good but still there was scope of improvement.

Overall the application is a very good twitter based multimedia tweeting application, which will definitely make space in your mobile as well as in your heart!!!

Quick Testing Tip:Blackberry Mobile Application Testing

Sharing with you just a small tip which I just came to know while testing a mobile application on Blackberry Curve.Actually i was just testing my application tvider and was facing with some exceptions.However when I was just about to log A issue I was always in fond answer of question “What was that exception(crash) text exactly???”

And literally after few days I got to know very interesting thing.

Whenever you face any exception on your Blackberry device and you just have to take a look on that issue and also you need to have some information about it,just hold Alt key on your blackberry and type lglg .

By this you are navigated to a page where all the exception/warning your app may have undergone.

Basically this is called event log screen.
