What is IMEI Number ?
- IMEI Number i.e International Mobile Equipment Identity number ia a Uniq number given to the mobile phone.(GSM and WCDMA and iDEN mobile phone)
- IMEI numbers either come in a 17 digit or 15 digit sequences of numbers
- You can find it on the screen of the phone by entering *#06# into the keypad.(In most of the GSM phones)
- It is also present on label present at the back side of your battery in your phone.
- If you know the IMEI code of a mobile phone, you can check information regarding manufacturer, model type, date and country of approval.
- We can not track a device having No IMEI Number and hence Government of India has decided to ban Mobile Phones with no IMEI number.
